Nora, a maid's daughter, endured 24 years at Adrian Hawthorne's side to repay her mother's kindness. Once childhood sweethearts, they turned love into hate after a misunderstanding, and Adrian tormented her. At a business banquet, he auctioned her off for twenty million—and the buyer was the notorious Mafia godfather Julian. Julian was once a homeless boy Nora had saved in her youth. He not only freed her from the cage but also destroyed Adrian's company. Bankrupt, Adrian took poison, leaving a suicide note granting her freedom. Nora finally let go of the past and, under Julian's protection, walked into a new life of mutual redemption.
