Adopted and beloved, Timothy Snyder's world shatters when the family's biological son, Matthew, returns and poisons his three sisters against him with vicious lies. Cast out and heartbroken, Timothy's loyalty never wavers. He saves the family from disaster and makes the ultimate sacrifice: volunteering for Project Hail Mary, a one-way mission to find a new home for humanity, a role only his rare genetics allow. He leaves Earth as a scapegoat. Decades later, as Timothy is hailed as the savior of humanity on a new planet, the Snyder sisters uncover Matthew's lifelong deception and are left to grieve the brother they betrayed and the hero they lost to the stars.
