Ariel, the six-winged supreme heavenly war god, once saved young demon king Lucian three hundred years ago, leaving Lucian obsessed with him. The tyrant traps Ariel with cursed chains and a soul-brand collar, planting a fatal divine curse in his body: he’ll burn from karmic fire if he loves any fiend. To shield his three thousand captive soldiers and spare Lucian’s pain, Ariel pretends to loathe him and even fakes an elopement with hypocritical archangel Michael to drive him away. The heartbroken Lucian forces intimacy, triggering the curse and burning Ariel to ashes. Devastated, Lucian rips out his icy demon heart to revive him, nearly dying himself. Merging holy and demonic power, Ariel awakens twelve god-devil wings, slays scheming Michael, then crowns Lucian and swears eternal mutual protection on the abyss throne.
