Her husband and his mistress were off enjoying their honeymoon—until a car crash sent them straight to the ER. Guess who the attending doctor was? His ex-wife soon-to-be. The next day, she handed him the divorce papers. Lucas Vaughn frowned. "You're divorcing me over something so trivial?" She looked him straight in the eye. "Yes. Exactly for this TRIVIAL thing." On the day of the divorce, their son clung to the mistress' arm. "I don't want Mom! I want Vanessa to be my new mommy!" She smiled coldly, letting go completely. "Don't worry. I won't fight for custody." After the divorce, she became a globally renowned doctor, thriving in her career. Meanwhile, her ex-husband's life fell apart, his life in chaos. As for their son? He also had a hard time—constant tantrums and endless tears. When they finally realized what they had lost, they came to beg her to take them back. But when they knocked on the door, they were greeted by the rumored, untouchable, and devilishly charming big shot. That same night, father and son got into a fight with the mistress and ended up behind bars. When she heard about it, she was busy with the big shot, who was "engaging" with her for the third time that evening. "Darling," he murmured with a low and teasing voice. "The trash has been taken care of. Now, focus on me."
