After devoting ten years to nursing a sickly white snake, Wren is betrayed when he transforms into a dragon and saves her manipulative sister, Evelyn, during a deadly flood. Reborn, Wren decisively abandons the ungrateful serpent, Caspian, choosing instead to forge her own illustrious future by dominating the royal strategic trials. Although Caspian utilizes his divine magic to obstruct her path for Evelyn’s sake, the deception ultimately shatters. When disaster strikes anew, Wren awakens her true, formidable identity as a Shadow Lord. Standing alongside her loyal celestial lieutenant, Dorian, she exposes her sister's deceit, slays the hypocritical deity, and reclaims her absolute sovereignty.
