Loretta’s world shattered when her son Jody was kidnapped. Her husband Raymond chose his first love Patrice—and abandoned their own son to die. He let Patrice and her son move in, take over Jody’s things, and humiliate Loretta as they pleased. Burying her grief, Loretta secretly gathered solid evidence that Raymond was responsible for Jody’s death. She signed the divorce papers and disappeared to Provence to start over. Using her talent, she devoted herself to children’s charity and became a shining light. Meanwhile, Raymond’s favoritism ruined his family’s empire, leaving him bankrupt and disgraced. Two years later, he knelt begging for forgiveness. Loretta turned away coldly: “You owe me this life. You can never repay it.”
