Sharon Cole, a principled lawyer in Coaston, takes on the case of Holly Quinn, a young woman who claims to have been raped by Jay Lowe, the powerful heir of Lowe Group. Moved by her desperate pleas, Sharon agrees to represent her. But in court, Holly suddenly changes her story — revealing she had accepted hush money from Jay and now denies everything. Her betrayal not only ruins the case but leads to Sharon losing her license and facing an investigation. To curry favor with Jay, Holly begins targeting and harassing Sharon at every turn. But when Holly demands her promised payoff, she finds herself once again preyed upon by Jay.
