What Lucas doesn’t know is that Markdes bullies him because he has fallen in love with him—yet is deeply conflicted and ashamed of his own sexual orientation. Eventually, Markdes decides he doesn’t want to be hated anymore. He plans to confess his feelings to Lucas. At the same time, Lucas’s stepmother Joanna sees him as an obstacle. As long as Lucas exists, she cannot marry his father or secure legal inheritance rights. She decides to poison Lucas—but he discovers her plan. Cornered, Joanna grabs a knife and attempts to kill him. At that exact moment, Markdes arrives to confess and witnesses the attack. He jumps in to protect Lucas. During the struggle, a magical fairy-tale book is accidentally knocked into the fireplace. The burning book triggers its spell, and all three are pulled into the world of Snow White. In the fairy-tale realm: Lucas becomes Snow White; Markdes becomes the Prince; Joanna becomes the Evil Queen There is only one way back to the real world: Snow White and the Prince must truly fall in love. Markdes resolves to fight for Lucas’s heart. Lucas, however, refuses to accept being gay. Meanwhile, Joanna becomes intoxicated by the palace’s luxury, jewels, and power. Unwilling to return to reality, she does everything she can to prevent Lucas and Markdes from falling in love—even sending a cold-blooded assassin to kill Lucas. But the assassin is moved by Lucas and spares him, revealing the truth instead. Lucas is forced to flee, and a new version of Snow White begins to unfold—Except this time, Snow White and the Prince are inhabited by the souls of two young men.
