After Irene regains her sight, she is horrified to find her husband Rick betrayed her and plotted a criminal scheme while she was blind. She then teams up with Rosie, a border horse rider trapped by domestic abuse and her husband’s gambling debts. The two women protect their children together, exposing kidnapping, fraud and violent crimes behind the scenes. They use the same deceptive tactics their abusers used against them to fight back against the men controlling their lives. As Rick closes in relentlessly, their alliance blossoms into romantic love. Hunted nonstop along the border, Irene and Rosie risk everything to reclaim their freedom, shield their families, and build a life that belongs only to them.
