Free number value: Princess Emeriel spent twenty years disguised as a boy to evade a life in chains. When her sister was traded to the Urekai, Emeriel took her place and came face-to-face with Daemonikai, the beast king who had haunted her dreams. Bound to his soul and uniquely able to rouse him, she risked everything to reveal who she was and restore his humanity through an ancient blood rite. Yet his fear of betrayal drove him to cast her out. Two years later, with Daemonikai near death, Emeriel returned to expose Zaiper's conspiracy, save the king, and help forge a kingdom where slavery was no more.
