Stuck Between Floors

Series details

Trapped in a failing elevator, Lilian refuses to beg. She is the president of Aurora Group. She intends to walk out as its owner. Her husband, Eric, claims to love her. His real plan is simpler: take her company, frame her for ruin, and let her disappear. Flynn is not the gentle bodyguard she expects. He is the former king of mercenaries—dangerous, secretive, and impossible to control. As the elevator plunges, Lilian’s walls begin to crack. She does not ask him to save her. She dares him to stay close. Their game begins in the dark. Sweat soaks her shirt. Scarred muscles press against the light. Her trembling fingers reach for him, then curl back. She calls him a disgrace. She tells him not to look. Still, her eyes find him again. When she mistakes him for her husband, she reaches for the wrong man. When she finally sees Flynn, she does not look away. Is she afraid of the dark—or afraid of wanting him? The elevator is only the beginning. Every forged record and defective product has a trail. Flynn finds it. Lilian uses it. Together, they turn Eric’s case into his prison and force White Corp. to answer for its crimes. Her greatest revenge is not losing herself to either man. It is choosing the one who makes her feel dangerous.
