Claire gave her mafia boss husband Ethan everything—gentle, patient, devoted. He never cherished her, for his heart belonged to childhood sweetheart Lily. On their wedding anniversary, he hung up on Claire's final desperate call to celebrate Lily's birthday. Claire died in a rainy car crash that night—but her soul lingered beside him, forced to witness his late regret. Ethan thought she was only sulking and trusted Lily fully. Until Claire's brother Ryan led him to her grave. The truth destroyed him. He tracked down the cause—and learned Lily was the murderer. He finally saw Claire's years of love, avenged her, and brought Lily to justice. But he could never bring Claire back. Now he lives alone in his empty mansion, drowned in eternal remorse.
