Claire, once a pampered heiress who has fallen from grace, is forced to venture deep into the city’s underground forbidden kingdom of deals and sin—The Club of Desire—to apply for a job, so she can cover her family’s crippling medical bills. With her stubbornness and intelligence, she draws the attention of Livy, the cold, ruthlessly controlling female club owner—a thug in a tailored suit. In one confrontation after another, the boundary between them gradually blurs. Testing, provocation, and forbidden tension grow wildly, and their once icy employer-employee relationship quietly turns into a surging, irresistible mutual attraction.
