Series details

Isabel Romano buried her mafiaborn identity to live an ordinary life. Marrying Dante Marchetti, she chose love over the brutal power of her grandfather’s silent criminal empire. When hit men threatened their fouryearold daughter Sofia, Isabel entered witness protection, vanishing for three years to draw danger away from her child. She returns home expecting to reunite with her little girl. What she finds shatters every illusion. While lavish parties roar upstairs inside the Marchetti mansion, Sofia is chained in the wine cellar. Starved, bruised, marked by cigarette burns, the little girl drinks water from a dog’s bowl. Dante’s mistress Camilla rules the house in Isabel’s place, aided by Dante’s own mother. And Sofia’s father looks away, choosing status and his new lover over his child. Grief hardens into unyielding resolve. Isabel rescues her broken daughter and awakens the full might of the Romano family — the force the entire underworld pays tribute to. She demands full custody, public justice, and the fall of the Marchetti dynasty that betrayed her blood. But revenge is only the beginning. As sole heir to Don Salvatore Romano, Isabel inherits an empire built on fear. She will wield its steelsharp power, yet she chooses mercy too. Building a foundation for abused children, she strives to break the cycle where innocent kids suffer for their parents’ sins. This is more than a mother’s quest for justice. It is the rise of a new queen of the underworld — one who knows all too well what cages do to children.
