Series details

Sienna is the only daughter of a mafia don, raised in a gilded cage with no freedom, no choice. To consolidate his power, the don betroths her to Marcus, an ambitious mayoral candidate—a polished politician who is actually cruel and depraved. On the eve of the wedding, the don assigns her a new personal bodyguard: Dante. He is a top-tier assassin groomed from the bottom ranks of the family, cold, taciturn, radiating danger. He has secretly loved Sienna for years but never dared to reveal it due to their difference in status. Yet when their paths cross, the frequent life-threatening dangers and assassinations, along with constant proximity, spark an unstoppable and deadly attraction. When Marcus discovers their affair, he publicly plays a voyeuristic video at the wedding, trying to destroy them. Dante is imprisoned and tortured, and Sienna is forced to comply. But Dante breaks his chains despite the agony of shattered bones, bloodies the church, and guns down Marcus at the altar. Forced to flee for their lives, they soon realize that as long as the don lives, the hunt will never end. The once-gentle heiress transforms completely through blood and fire—she leads Dante back to the estate, personally guns down her father who only ever saw her as a bargaining chip, seizes the family throne, and becomes the new female don. In the end, this pair of star-crossed lovers, crossing class and taboos, ascend to the pinnacle of power, paid for with blood. He is her sharpest blade; she is his only faith. In their world, hell itself is a throne.
