Agent X, a top-tier strategist, is transported into a “domineering CEO” novel, where she becomes Elowen—the female lead whom the male protagonist, Reese, treats as a stand-in. The original Elowen was brutally crushed to death on the street by Soraya, the “perfect love interest,” and as she lay dying, she sacrificed her soul, praying for someone to rewrite her fate.
After taking over, Agent X’s goal isn’t to win Reese’s heart, but to extract all his resources, assets, and guilt, while secretly dismantling every layer of Soraya’s protective shield. Exploiting Reese’s obsession with his “white moonlight” and his guilt toward the stand-in, she gradually raises his affection rating from 10% to 100%. Along the way, she secures ownership of the Moonshore Villa, a 10% stake in the Calder Group, the position of Project Director, and wins over her two male allies, Tristan and Jasper.
Just when everyone thought this was a female-led power struggle where the “stand-in” had risen to the top, Episode 77 delivered the ultimate twist—on the rooftop, Elowen confessed to a cornered Soraya: Reese had never been her target; her true objective was Soraya herself. Everything she had done was to strip Soraya of all her attachments and drive her to rock bottom, so that Soraya would finally realize, “Men are unreliable; only you can control your own destiny.”
Reese learns the truth through a listening device hidden in her necklace, drugs Elowen, and imprisons her in an attempt to keep her trapped in the fictional world forever. At the critical moment, a newly empowered Soraya turns the tables with a stun gun and rescues Elowen. Elowen transfers all her assets to Soraya, then vanishes into a beam of light, returning to the real world.
