The Heiress’s Revenge
Core Characters
Female Lead: Clara, 26
On the surface: a gentle, ordinary wife and a low-level employee at her husband’s company; everyone thinks she comes from a poor family.
True identity: the sole heiress of an old European aristocratic family and the hidden power behind a top investment group. She married beneath her while hiding her identity to test love. Calm, highly intelligent, no saint; once betrayed, she is decisive and ruthless.
Male Lead (Domineering CEO): Ethan, 29
CEO of a multinational conglomerate, with influence in both the legitimate world and the underworld. Cold, hard, and suspicious by nature, he keeps women at a distance. At first he stands aside, but he is drawn to Clara’s resilience. After discovering her true identity, he becomes her ally and lover—not a mindless wife-protector, but her equal in a powerful alliance.
Scumbag Ex-Husband: Mark
Ambitious. He only built his company into something big with Clara’s secret financial backing, yet he has always despised his wife for her “ordinary background.” He cheats with his secretary and plans to swallow Clara’s hidden assets. Arrogant, snobbish—a classic face-slapping target.
White Lotus Mistress: Sophia
Mark’s secretary. On the surface, she is fragile and kind; in truth, she is deeply scheming. She constantly sows discord in their marriage, coveting Mark’s wealth and the position of wealthy wife.
Story Synopsis
Clara hides her identity and marries Mark, quietly funding his startup. At their third wedding anniversary banquet, Mark publicly announces that he wants to divorce Clara and proposes to Sophia. He also humiliates Clara in public, saying she comes from a humble background and is worthless.
Clara calmly signs the divorce agreement. The two then push her down and humiliate her in front of everyone. Everyone believes she will be left with nothing.
That night, after the banquet, Clara reclaims her identity as the heiress, and the capital under her command begins a full-scale siege against Mark’s company.
Mark and Sophia keep scheming to suppress Clara, but they collide with Clara’s hidden cards again and again. Ethan, the powerful figure Mark once wanted to flatter and partner with, recognizes Clara’s true identity through their repeated clashes. Drawn to her, he chooses to stand by her side.
As the revenge unfolds, Mark and Sophia’s conspiracies, embezzlement, and commercial fraud are exposed layer by layer. Finally, at a top-tier business gala, Clara reveals her full identity in public and exposes all their crimes. Mark’s company goes bankrupt, and both are completely disgraced. Clara takes back everything and ends up with Ethan.
