Cindy, a street-smart homeless girl, steals Professor Henry’s wallet, leading to their rocky first encounter. Her life takes a sudden turn when she’s taken to her birth father, who reveals she’s the sole heiress to the Perrault family and arranges her engagement to Edward, the son of the old-money Hartman family. To secure the Hartmans' approval, her father asks Henry to transform her into a refined lady, sparking both tension and attraction between tutor and student. As Ana, Cindy’s adopted sister, tries to sabotage her at every turn, Cindy learns to outwit the traps with Henry’s help. Though Edward begins to fall for her, Cindy finds herself drawn to Henry, torn between family duty and a love she never expected.
