Anna Carter had brain cancer and only one year left to live. All she wanted was to have her wedding with Michael Hale, her husband of three years. But Michael accused her of being malicious, and forced her to sign a consent form to donate a kidney to his sister Grace. Grace schemed repeatedly and caused Anna to lose her baby. Blind to the truth, Michael tormented Anna again and again — until her heart turned cold. Then Dr. Lucas Montgomery, the hospital director, discovered that Anna was his long-lost sister. After learning what Michael and Grace had done to her, he faked her death during surgery and helped her return to the Montgomery family as their long-lost heiress. When Michael finally found Anna, she didn't remember him at all.
