At the fifth-anniversary wedding celebration of Xiao Xu and Qi Jingluo, Qi Tongluo—Qi Jingluo’s half-sister—suddenly showed up. She demanded that Qi Jingluo hand over her fiancé to her, shocking everyone present. Qi Tongluo deliberately shoved Qi Jingluo to the ground, causing her to lose their unborn child. Yet Xiao Xu picked up Qi Tongluo and left with her first. This incident opened Qi Jingluo’s eyes completely, and she resolved to divorce Xiao Xu without hesitation. Xiao Xu brushed it off indifferently and signed the divorce papers right away. Afterwards, Qi Jingluo burned every memento she shared with Xiao Xu, then walked alone toward the open sea… Ten days later, Xiao Xu realized Qi Jingluo had truly vanished from his life. It slowly dawned on him how deeply and wholeheartedly she had loved and cherished him, yet he had never treasured her. Refusing to believe she would leave for good, he planned to use Qi Tongluo to provoke Qi Jingluo into revealing herself from hiding. Instead, he received a police summons ordering him to identify a body at the station. Xiao Xu was left utterly confused, unable to comprehend what had happened.
