Series details

Averro, a Manhattan bartender who believed he was an orphan with no family, is met at his wedding by a pair of muddy, shabby "poor parents" claiming to be his real family. His gold-digging fiancée publicly splashes wine on them, humiliates him, and demands he throw out these "beggar parents" or else the wedding is off. Averro chooses to call off the marriage rather than abandon them—unaware that this hunched, humble old couple is none other than the Moretti mafia godfather and godmother, who control the East Coast and make the city's elite beg for an audience. From sleeping in a parking garage, being flicked with cigar ash, and having cash slapped in his face, to secretly cutting off his enemies' lifelines, dismantling an FBI sting operation, and injecting billions to rescue his sworn enemy's family—the godfather endured poverty in disguise, only to test his son's integrity and the loyalty of those around him. When the family ring is pressed and the hidden button engaged, helicopters descend and armored convoys roll over the lawn—the trampled "poor bartender" is crowned as the mafia heir in a single moment. The traitors become dark web targets, and all the fair-weather guests meet their end. Identity reversal, the godfather in full glory, a 25-year blood feud resolved—full-scale mafia powerhouse satisfaction at its peak!
