For seven years, Jien works three jobs to support her family and her deaf daughter Lily, while her husband Alan pretends to be poor. Secretly a wealthy heir, he squanders Jien’s hard-earned money on his mistress Olivia and her daughter Cathy, who bullies and frames Lily. After Alan publicly disowns Lily and forces her to apologize falsely, a heartbroken Jien leaves him. She later discovers she is the long-lost heiress of the Vanderbilt family. Reunited with her three doting brothers, Jien cures Lily’s hearing and bankrupts Alan’s family. Finally, she embraces sincere love from her childhood friend Dylan, leaving remorseful and penniless Alan to a lifetime of regret.
