Ava, a fisherwoman from the slums who has endured humiliation for years, is forced to dive daily on the edge of deadly waters to pay off a sky-high usurious debt fabricated by her uncle Carter, a gang boss, in order to support her disabled father. Yet when she risks her life to retrieve a priceless "Aurora Golden Sturgeon," Carter not only seizes it for himself but also cruelly reveals the ugly truth: years ago, he forged a signature to embezzle 500,000 dollars of her father's workplace compensation. Carter even threatens to sell Ava's sixteen-year-old sister to overseas smuggling ships as a prostitute. Facing utter despair, Ava does not kneel and beg for mercy. Instead, she slashes her palm and swears a blood oath, cutting all ties with her parasitic family. Blacklisted along the entire coastline, Ava sails a leaky old boat straight into the "Demon's Grinder," a death sea region that can tear apart warships. In the abyss, she awakens a mysterious "Ice-Blue Gaze," enabling her to fend off deep-sea monsters with her bare hands. When she surfaces clutching a rotting, parasite-ridden dead fish, Carter mocks her as a fool who only fishes for garbage. But he doesn't know this is just the prelude to ultimate humiliation. Ava takes the stinking fish stomach and storms into the city's most exclusive international luxury auction. Amid the shrieks of arrogant socialites, she tears open the stomach in front of everyone—inside it are three pairs of the world's only remaining "Twin Platinum Phantom Dragon Fish." Dazzling the entire audience, Ava immediately wins the favor of Madame Sterling, a transnational conglomerate magnate, and 800,000 dollars are wired to her account on the spot, catapulting her into a higher class. To save her father and the dying conglomerate boss, Ava accepts a five-million-dollar bounty for the "Abyssal Red Icefish." Consumed by jealousy, Carter mortgages everything he owns to buy a military-grade heavy mech, attempting to intercept and kill Ava underwater. However, under the brutal laws of the deep sea, Carter abandons his men to save his equipment, causing his gang to turn on him. Meanwhile, Ava fights her way through swarms of venomous eels and claims the five million dollars. In the end, Carter is crippled by decompression sickness, his assets looted by loan sharks and his own son, and he lies like a scabies-covered stray dog on a filthy mudflat, waiting to die. Ava, dressed in a bespoke suit and riding in a bulletproof Range Rover, tosses a stinking fish bone into the mud at his mouth as a "down payment for his coffin," coldly raises the window, and drives toward the throne of power.
