Series details

On the morning of her baby's gender-reveal party, seven-months-pregnant Cassandra catches her husband Dominic dismantling their nursery to hand everything to Elena — her stepsister and the woman carrying his child. Having already uncovered his affair, and his plan to marry her only for a fortune he believes belongs to her father, Cassandra hides a secret of her own: she is the true heir to the billion-dollar Hartwell empire, shielded since birth. As Dominic and Elena scheme to poison her pregnancy with abortifacients, forge her signature, and cash in a $5 million life-insurance policy taken out on her, Cassandra quietly arms herself with proof and detonates their conspiracy at the party in front of two hundred guests and the press. What follows is a merciless reckoning — arrest, a federal trial, a home invasion by the rival Morelli crime family, and Dominic's total collapse — while Ethan Cross, her brother's best friend who has loved her for twenty years, becomes the safe harbor she never knew she needed. By the time she takes the throne of Hartwell Enterprises, wins custody of her daughter Catherine, and marries Ethan, Cassandra is no longer the 'nobody' they tried to erase: she is the real queen who always wins.
