After eighteen years of disappearance, Ivy finally returned to the Walker family, only to find that the wolf assigned to her had never truly chosen her. The family gave her wealth and status as compensation, but the wolf who should have protected her only followed the adopted sister who had taken her place. Disappointed by everything around her, Ivy found a wounded and untamed wolf king in an underground market and chose to bring him home. He was not a servant who obeyed orders, but a beast who survived countless battles and refused to belong to anyone. As Ivy and the wolf king slowly healed each other's wounds, she discovered that the one who willingly wore her collar was the only one who truly chose her.
