Mira, a pure-hearted Saintess, is betrayed by her fiancé Theron, who sends her to the Merfolk King in place of his true love, Coraline. He uses forbidden magic to shame her before the village, claiming she is impure. Left for dead, Mira strikes a dark bargain with the Merfolk King: half her blood in exchange for becoming half-merfolk. Transformed and empowered, she returns to expose Theron’s lies, reveal his murder of a kind elder, and claim justice. The villagers turn against him, and Mira reclaims her stolen life. Though now a monster, she walks free—leaving the coast behind, with an open invitation from the Merfolk King to return.
