To save her husband Leo Carter from a fatal heart condition, Summer Hayes faked being a greedy wife and filed for divorce, secretly donating her heart to him and replacing hers with an artificial one. Nine years later, Leo—now a celebrated artist—repeatedly humiliated his “gold-digging ex-wife,” while Summer silently endured, clinging to the persona she had created. At a gallery event, Clara Brown falsely claimed that her sister was the real heart donor, completely crushing Summer. When Nina Shaw released a video of Summer purchasing a burial plot, the truth finally hit Leo. Clara later kidnapped Summer and forced Leo to kill for her. In the end, Leo sacrificed himself to save Summer, killing Clara in the process and leaving both his heart and inheritance to her.
