On the day of her father’s funeral, Claire Quinn waits three hours in the pouring rain, clutching his urn, while her fiancé, Ethan Grant, skips the service to help his Childhood Sweetheart, Lily Lane, with her cat. Claire later discovers that when her father was fighting for his life, she called Ethan eleven times, but he ignored every call, convinced she could handle it alone. Even on her father’s seventh-day memorial, Ethan breaks his promise again for Lily. After seven years of love and endless disappointment, Claire finally reaches her limit. She calls off the engagement, removes her ring, and leaves for Kingsford to revive the career she once sacrificed for love. When Ethan finally comes chasing after her, she has only three words for him. “I’m done.”
