For her mother's medical bills and the Song family's debts, Song Yuan agrees but demands 10 million. After obtaining Jiang Zhaoyun's information from Shen Meiyan, Song Yuan crafts a perfect 'chance encounter' plan, successfully making Jiang Zhaoyun fall for her at first sight. As their love deepens, Shen Meiyan appears, reminding Song Yuan to end the game. Thinking it's over, Song Yuan is devastated when her mother commits suicide out of guilt. Shen Meiyan, fearing further contact between Song Yuan and Jiang Zhaoyun, suppresses Song Yuan's career opportunities. Jiang Zhaoyun forcefully marries Song Yuan, but their relationship improves over time. However, Shen Meiyan reveals to Song Yuan that she was behind her father's death and the Song family's house fire, and that Jiang Zhaoyun knew all along. Devastated, Song Yuan confronts Jiang Zhaoyun and asks for a divorce. Jiang Zhaoyun, in turn, decides to seek justice for Song Yuan.
