Series details

Margot's five-year-old daughter Lily vanished at her husband Carl's company charity carnival. Three years later, her body was found, organs harvested, yet Carl rushed to cremate her and everyone urged Margot to accept "accidental death." Investigating the suture behind Lily's ear, she discovered Carl's mistress Lena ran a child-trafficking and illegal-organ network—and Carl had signed Lily away for capital and career. Branded insane, stripped of assets, and committed, Margot used a monocle left by her grandfather, legendary reporter "the Owl," to let murdered, harvested children identify their killers. With an ordinary-people informant network and a prosecutor, she forged evidence, exposed the organ black market at a global charity summit, and brought the traffickers and her complicit husband to justice.
