After the Engagement, I Married His Uncle Episode 1

Series details

On the day Serena Steele and Trevor Levine were meant to register their marriage, she was left waiting. The reason? His sister—unrelated by blood—had returned home. Only then did Serena finally understand the truth: she had never been his first choice. The one who always held the top place in his heart was that so-called adopted sister he treasured above all else. When Trevor saw the woman who shouldn't have been there, his expression flickered. "Serena, didn't we agree we'd register another day?" Serena curled her lips into a faint smile. "No. There won't be another day. The engagement is off—I'm done." Everyone assumed it was just another bout of playing hard to get. As usual, they were sure she'd sulk for a few days, then come crawling back, swallowing her pride and begging him to reconcile. Until— At Trevor and Amber's wedding, the elusive and powerful head of the Levine Group, Sebastian Levine, made a grand appearance, one arm wrapped possessively around a woman's waist. A trace of mockery curved his lips as he apologized, "I'm sorry. My wife and I are late." Trevor couldn't believe his eyes. The woman he'd cast aside only two months ago—his former fiancée—had become his uncle's wife?! — One night, half-drunk and unwilling to let go, Trevor called Serena, hoping to win her back. Over the phone, his voice was low, stripped of arrogance and edged with desperation. "Serena… can we start over? Please. I really miss you." Sebastian's gaze turned icy as he took the call, his voice cold and cutting. "Calling your aunt at three in the morning—have you lost your mind?" Disturbed from her sleep, the woman frowned and let out a soft, displeased murmur. Trevor then heard his stern, aloof uncle soften instantly, coaxing her with indulgent affection. "Good girl… come here. Let me hold you while you sleep."
