After the Storm, She Rose Again Episode 1

Series details

Lena Carter has barely finished her first month postpartum when her mother-in-law arrives with her pregnant daughter, demanding that Lena care for her through confinement. Finn Parker always takes his family’s side, while his sister even sets her sights on Lena’s premarital home. Heartbroken but determined, Lena pretends to agree, secretly sells the house, returns to her parents’ home, and files for divorce. Finn’s family is soon evicted by the new owner and forced into a rundown rental, where one disaster follows another: their nanny quits, the child falls ill, Finn loses his job, and mounting gambling debts push them deeper into despair. Diana Parker and her mother repeatedly harass Lena and even take her child, eventually crossing the line into criminal wrongdoing. Meanwhile, Lena’s career takes off. With the proceeds from the house sale and a loving partner by her side, she builds a stable, independent life while raising her child.
