Series details

On the eve of her wedding, Yuna Ji discovers that her fiancé, Christopher Lu, has long been involved with her stepsister Yvonne Ji—who is now pregnant. Even worse, Christopher demands that Yuna accept the arrangement. Heartbroken, Yuna ends the engagement and enters a strategic marriage with Sebastian Shen, the second son of the Shen family, who is secretly pretending to be crippled while lying low. Bound by a mutual pact, Yuna quietly gathers evidence of Yvonne’s schemes against her, while also helping Sebastian “recover.” In return, Sebastian protects Yuna from the shadows. As they spend more time together, genuine feelings grow between them. To save Yuna, Sebastian ultimately reveals the truth about his feigned disability. After learning of Yvonne’s betrayal, Christopher is consumed by regret and seeks revenge, triggering the downfall of the Ji family. Yvonne’s attempts at retaliation fail, and she is arrested. Christopher is left to live out his days in loneliness, while Yuna and Sebastian overcome all obstacles to be together, finally finding happiness as husband and wife.
