Auctioned Family, Broken Wife Episode 1

Series details

The story He Said I Was Playing Dead tells the tragic tale of Melissa, an abandoned wife from a wealthy family, and her journey of revenge. Born into the prestigious Tar family, Melissa went against her family's wishes to marry Oliver when his family went bankrupt and faced endless ridicule. She poured all her financial resources and connections into helping him rise to power, even sustaining severe injuries to save him once. Shrapnel remained in her heart, planting the seeds for a terminal illness. After achieving success, Oliver's twisted pride led him to blame all his past humiliation on Melissa. He believed she had always looked down on him and treated him like a mere dependent. He orchestrated conspiracies to frame Melissa's father, brought down the Tar family, caused the deaths of her parents and sister, publicly auctioned off their heirlooms, and spread humiliating videos of her, subjecting her to extreme degradation. Upon learning she had only three days to live, Melissa was utterly disheartened. She stopped arguing and outwardly complied, while secretly arranging everything. She distributed all her valuables to Oliver's mistress and eventually passed away after accidentally consuming peanut soup, to which she was severely allergic. After her death, the truth came out: Oliver finally understood her years of endurance and deep love. He suffered a mental breakdown, went mad, and relentlessly took revenge on his mistress, but he could never bring her back. In the end, he was ruined and imprisoned, living the rest of his life in endless regret; while Melissa finally found release, reuniting with her family and forever leaving the man who had left her covered in cuts and bruises.
