BACK FROM THE FIRE, I MAKE TRAITORS PAY Episode 1

Series details

Clara Bennett, 43, was once a top asset tracker on Wall Street, known by the codename “Red Ledger.” For love, she gave up her career and handed over all her clients, models, and contacts to her husband, Preston. Twenty years later, however, she discovered that Preston was not only having an affair with her stepsister, Lacey, but had also forged her signature to purchase a $50 million life insurance policy and embezzled $300 million in pension funds belonging to 800 retired workers. Her car’s brakes were cut, her sedatives were spiked, and the emergency exits were locked. On the very night the insurance policy took effect, Preston and Lacey ordered Marcus to set a fire, intending to let Clara burn to death. Clara escaped through an old maintenance shaft, secretly had her lawyer file paperwork confirming she was still alive, and then personally showed up at her own funeral. A few days later, she resumed using her legal professional name, Catherine Bell, and, representing the Bellmont Fund, brought $500 million in bailout funds into Shaw Capital. While investigating offshore accounts, she forced her enemies to betray one another. Aiden discovered that he was not only Preston’s biological son but also the scapegoat his parents had prepared; Ethan handed over the server to protect himself; Lacey took hostages and kidnapped Aiden, attempting to flee New York with the final $100 million. Just as Clara was about to close in, the defense suddenly presented a secret $50 million account opened in her own name, accusing her of being the mastermind behind it all. In the end, Clara used login devices, secondary authorization, password recovery records, and the complete video footage from the anniversary night to prove she had been framed. She recovered her entire pension, sent Preston and Lacey to prison for life, and relaunched Red Ledger, reclaiming the career, dignity, and life that had been taken from her for twenty years.
