Betrayed: I Became the Zombie King Episode 1

Series details

The end of the world arrived. A zombie virus swept the planet, and superpower awakening became humanity’s last chance to survive. Jack was an ordinary man with no special abilities, barely scraping by amid the cruel apocalypse. Though old wounds lingered from their breakup, his innate kindness led him to shelter his ex-girlfriend and her family. When a massive zombie horde descended in a deadly disaster, the selfish group cruelly betrayed and deserted him, sacrificing Jack without a second thought to save themselves. Trapped amid endless zombies, he stood at death's door. In his final despair, Jack stumbled into an extraordinary mutation. Instead of turning into a feral, mindless zombie, he awakened the unique power source of the Zombie King. He became the only high-tier zombie in this doomsday world retaining full human awareness and independent reasoning. Defying all apocalyptic rules, he resisted viral erosion, evolved endlessly and swiftly by absorbing zombie energy essences, commanded countless undead hordes, and possessed an immortal physique with unmatched fighting prowess. The survivor factions and superhumans who betrayed him ran wild. They plundered resources, bullied the vulnerable, viciously slandered Jack, and pushed human settlements to hunt him. The helpless outcast achieved an incredible reversal of fate. Casting aside his past gentleness and frailty, Jack embarked on an unwavering road of vengeance. He defeated tyrannical superpower users one by one and settled scores with every traitor. Meanwhile,he rallied upright survivors and built a private safe haven. Dwelling in a zombie's form yet reigning as a king, he shattered the divide between humans and zombies in this hopeless era. From a powerless victim at others' mercy, he rose step by step into the fearsome Zombie King ruling all undead, forging a brand-new order for the end times.
