Bound to the Dark King Episode 1

Series details

On the grand day of the politically arranged alliance wedding, Chloe, the mortal royal princess, catches her fiancé — the reigning Light Elf King — red-handed in an affair with her step-sister. In that instant, she sees clearly that she has never been anything but a manipulated pawn in their conniving plot. Without the slightest hesitation, she rips her wedding gown to tatters in full view of the ten-thousand-strong assembly, and flees the ceremony defiantly amid the public's condemnation and jeers, preferring death over bending her knee to her fate. Left with no other recourse, she voluntarily forms a sacred blood oath with Dante, the most terrifying Dark Elf King feared across every corner of the continent: she trades the forbidden holy relic left by her late mother, in return for the overwhelming power to exact her revenge. All residents of the realm laugh at her for walking straight into a lion's den to marry the fabled "good-for-nothing with a broken magic core". None of them know that this seemingly frail, sickly man has the forbidden power of six black-gold wings sealed inside his body — a mighty force that even the highest archdemons of the Abyss would shudder to face. She first lifts her step-sister step by step to the very peak of glory and godlike status, only to smash that pedestal into dust with her own two hands. When the memory crystal projects the sordid, scandalous truth before the eyes of tens of thousands of onlookers, when the entire Light Elf royal court kneels prostrate at her feet, she is no longer the discarded, worthless mortal princess everyone once cast aside. She stands as the reigning Queen of Two Realms. And the Dark King who once tied her to his side with a contractual bond personally breaks every last shackle between them, just to wait for the line he has longed to hear: "This time, I stay not for the oath, but because I choose you — of my own free will."
