Bygone Light Shines ON THE GUTTER Episode 1

Series details

Lu Zhiyan, the son of the richest man, was hopelessly devoted to Shen Wei, a financially disadvantaged student, in his past life. He poured all his family fortune into her career, willingly became her secret boyfriend, and single-handedly elevated her to the status of a renowned film actress. However, on the night Shen Wei accepted her best actress award, she publicly announced her relationship with Chen Ran, a street thug. Heartbroken and enraged, Lu Zhiyan was then pushed off a tall building and killed by the two. Reborn with burning hatred, Lu Zhiyan was shocked to discover that Shen Wei had also been reborn, still determined to replicate her past glory and love affair. This time, he completely woke up, cut off all ties with her, and vowed to make the selfish pair suffer all the pain he had endured. Lu Zhiyan plotted carefully, exposing Shen Wei’s lie of being “the daughter of the richest family” and revealing her scandalous behavior with Chen Ran, cutting off all her unearned retreats. At the same time, he found Xu Zhiyi—the girl who had truly helped him in trouble and was suppressed by Shen Wei in the past life—and spared no effort to pave her way to stardom in the entertainment industry. Without Lu Zhiyan’s protection, Shen Wei and Chen Ran fell from their vain dreams, drowning in debt and being abandoned by everyone, finally reaping what they sowed. Lu Zhiyan not only protected his family and regained true friendship but also found mutual love with Xu Zhiyi, giving his sincere heart to the right person. He personally rewrote his fate and embraced his own bright future.
