Series details Esra, the ancient lord of all dragons, voluntarily reincarnated to reshape his dragon power, his soul unexpectedly entering the body of Leah, a dying orphan of the former royal family. His younger sister, Lilian, desperately participated in the royal dragon-taming trials to save Leah's life, overcoming numerous hardships to succeed. However, his uncle, the usurper Duke of Windsor, reneged on his promise, refusing to hand over the life-saving Healing Dragon Crystal. The Duke's daughter, Karina, deliberately set a trap, but Leah easily defeated her, attracting her nemesis, Duke Reid, who challenged her to a life-or-death duel.
Reid summoned a reclusive grandmaster who severely injured Windsor's prodigies, Leon and Karina. At the critical moment, Leah overwhelmed the grandmaster and obtained the Healing Dragon Crystal. Later, the group received an invitation to the Dragon Breath Temple's dragon-taming competition. Upon arriving at the temple, they were humiliated by powerful figures. Leah produced a dragon scale, and High Priest Nicholas realized that Leah was Esra's "reincarnation."
At this time, the demon Asura from the Southern Flame Kingdom stormed the temple seeking revenge, severely injuring Nicholas. Leah appeared and crippled him. Meanwhile, Red, having devoured a dragon's heart and fallen to demonic possession, led his dragon army to massacre Windsor Castle. In desperation, Esra revealed her identity as the Lord of Dragons. The entire Windsor clan set aside past grievances and sacrificed themselves to protect her, helping her break through the cycle of reincarnation and slay Red.
To resurrect the true mortal Leah, the group traveled to the hostile Southern Flame Kingdom to seize the precious resurrection chalice. During their journey, they encountered numerous obstacles. Leah guided Karina through the trials, and they battled Indra, the Southern Flame Kingdom's chief advisor. Indra's dragon-slaying and heart-devouring caused a dragon riot throughout the kingdom. Esra sacrificed half of her dragon power to quell the chaos, moving Indra and receiving the chalice in return. Finally, the original Leah was resurrected within the temple's magical array. The descendants of Windsor swore an oath to uphold the laws of the Dragon Lord and protect all living beings.
