Drowning in Your Silence Episode 1

Series details

Valerie had loved Alexander deeply for eight years, yet her relentless pursuit only earned his constant distance and coldness. On the very day she was diagnosed with brain cancer, Alexander proposed to her at his parents' behest. The icy indifference he showed after her brief hesitation crushed her heart completely. She endured her agonizing illness alone, keeping her diagnosis a secret, while watching Alexander dote constantly on his former secretary Dorothy. Memories of their childhood tenderness and the car crash that had torn them apart tormented her endlessly. Her long-cherished wish to travel to Norway to see the auroras was dashed time and again. When Alexander left for the UK, overwhelmed by unrelenting pain and heartbreak, she jumped into the sea and took her own life. Her spirit lingered in the mortal world after death, witnessing Alexander learn the full truth only after she was gone. He found her childhood sketchbook filled with all her hidden sorrows and grievances, finally realizing how much agony she had borne in silence. Consumed by boundless remorse, he attempted to follow her into the sea, only to be pulled back by his family. In the end, Valerie appeared before him as a fleeting apparition. Letting go of her eight years of obsession, she departed in peace. Left clutching the fragments she had left behind, Alexander was trapped for the rest of his life by love and remorse that came far too late.
