Eight Years in Captivity, Reborn at Eighteen Episode 1

Series details

At twenty-four, Anna is kidnapped by Earl, a man nearly sixty, and imprisoned in a dark basement for eight years. During captivity, she gives birth to Ella. When her brother Carl finally tracks her down and brings police to rescue her, freedom does not bring peace. Seven-year-old Ella is also Earl’s daughter—and to Anna, her very presence is a constant reminder of the nightmare she survived. Rejected by her mother and bullied at school as “the kidnapper’s daughter,” Ella grows up unwanted and alone. Still, she refuses to let her past define her. She studies, works, and fights for a future of her own. Years later, she finally earns her way into college—and learns that sometimes, the light you wait for is the one you create yourself.
