Feed The General, Steal His Heart Episode 1

Series details

Food blogger Piper was reborn as a palace maid. Initially, she planned to leave the palace and open a restaurant, but the rebellion led by Julian left her branded as a remnant of the old court. She cured General Owen Morris's stomach ailment with herbal cuisine. Julian, wary of Owen's growing influence, arranged a forced marriage between the two and exiled them to the harsh frontier of Xuphis. Piper won the army's loyalty with her culinary skills, and she gradually developed feelings for the tormented, revenge-driven Owen. When the enemy attacked at night, Piper took an arrow meant for Owen and was poisoned, and Owen risked his life to save her, deepening their bond. Piper later used her food to resolve crises and forged alliances with local tribes to secure the border city, while Owen quietly expanded his influence. Julian, tempted by treasure, released the former emperor and confined Piper to control Owen, prompting Owen to raise an army in retaliation. Eventually, Owen captured the capital, quelled the rebellion, and both resigned from their posts, returning to Xuphis to open a restaurant and live out their days in peaceful retirement.
