Five Years a Lie, One Night the Truth Episode 1

Series details

Six years ago, Chloe—an heir to the Boston-based Rhodes family trust—was kidnapped during a deal at the docks. In a moment of crisis, Austin, the family’s crisis management specialist responsible for securing the perimeter, braved the inferno to rescue her; he was critically injured in the ensuing massive explosion and subsequently forced to relocate to London to handle a complex cross-border commercial dispute. Blake, a fringe operative, seized the opportunity to falsely claim credit for the rescue, thereby winning Chloe’s gratitude and securing a marriage to her. Over the next five years, Blake leveraged the Rhodes family’s resources to rise rapidly in high society, all while secretly colluding with Chloe’s rivals. He subjected her to long-term psychological control through a mix of feigned affection and psychoactive drugs, even spreading rumors within the family that she had become mentally unstable due to PTSD—a ploy intended to strip her of her veto power over the family’s multi-million-dollar trust fund. During a charity gala at the estate, Blake and his mistress conspired to ruin Chloe’s sanity and reputation by drugging her. Just as she faced total destruction, Chloe was rescued amidst the chaos by Austin, who had returned to Boston having taken full control of the security group’s operations. The dark secrets behind the kidnapping six years prior and the truth of Blake’s five-year deception began to unravel; under Austin’s powerful protection, Chloe regained her clarity and vowed to reclaim her family’s usurped power and send these parasites to hell.
