Hate Me, Remember Me Episode 1

Series details

Six years ago, Chloe, an S-rank Spirit Inscription user, obsessively infatuated with Lucas's father, Marcus, used forbidden dream-weaving techniques to alter the memories of Lucas and Isabella. This led Lucas to believe his fiancée had betrayed him, and Isabella to live as a widow, burdened with the guilt of killing her "brother." Six years later, Lucas returns filled with hatred, imprisoning Isabella as his personal assistant and subjecting her to endless humiliation, only to find himself increasingly drawn to her the more he hated her. As their daughter Lily's past and the truth behind the sealed memories are gradually revealed, the two must reclaim the six years stolen before their Spirit Inscriptions collapse. Synopsis: In a modern world where everyone can awaken a Spirit Inscription, the stronger the Inscription, the heavier the price. LucasKane possesses the dual abilities of "Absolute Command" and "Matter Reconstruction," at the cost of his body gradually petrifying. Isabella Ashford, once an A+ level genius medical student, possessed the ability "Time Reversal," capable of reversing injuries. However, due to its seal, she could only survive by "bearing pain for others." Six years ago, on their engagement night, Chloe, a student of Lucas's father, transferred her unrequited obsession with Marcus to Lucas. Using forbidden dream-weaving techniques, she simultaneously altered both their memories, making Lucas witness Isabella eloping with a non-existent "brother," taking the berserk Lucas away for treatment; and convincing Isabella that she had accepted her "brother's" proposal and "killed" him, forcing her to atone for her sins as a widow for six years. Six years later, Lucas returned, imprisoning Isabella as his "personal assistant" under the guise of a creditor. He forced her to kneel, publicly humiliated her, and cut off all her escape routes with absolute commands. But with each torment, his stone patterns spread an inch; with each approach, her spiritual imprint resonated once more. What was altered were her memories; the love etched deep within her spiritual imprint never disappeared. Lily, their five-year-old daughter, suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy due to a bloodline curse within the Kane family, yet is classified as a dying E-rank ability user. Her true identity is an S+ rank "Returner," capable of purifying the corruption of spirit seals and perceiving all lies, but each use of her abilities accelerates the deterioration of her heart condition. She is also the only one who can tell the truth to her parents. As Isabella's memory seal loosens, the two join forces to investigate. Morgan, Lucas's most trusted subordinate, secretly assists, while Amelia, ostensibly engaged to Lucas, is actually the daughter of a former Marcus subordinate, infiltrating to investigate Chloe and the Obsidian organization behind her. Chloe's henchmen—Nurse Driscoll, the twin vice presidents Vance, and others—are ruthlessly executed one by one by Lucas. Ultimately, in her own laboratory, Isabella uses her awakened time rewind to forever transform Chloe into a sixteen-year-old girl without a spirit seal, leaving her to live with all her criminal memories in a powerless shell, ultimately burying her beneath the ruins. Lily fully awakens under the resonance of her parents' spiritual imprints, breaking the chains of the curse. Lucas's petrification subsides, and Lily's heart condition is cured. A year later, Lucas proposes to her again under the moonlight in the old house. The three return home, where roses bloom. Lily's spiritual imprint remains dormant, but occasionally, when no one is watching, it flashes a golden light.
