He Lost Me After the World Cup Episode 1

Series details

The end of the World Cup marked the start of Chloe’s nightmare. A medical genius, Chloe suffers a miscarriage and sinks into depression. Her mother takes her to Houston for a getaway, only for them to stumble upon a vicious conspiracy plotted by her husband, her nominal elder brother and her biological father. The three men cruelly mock her as an illegitimate child of low standing and flaunt private footage secretly filmed of her over three years. Her birth father even claims that she and her mother disgust his legal wife. The decades-long scam of the fake divorce certificate finally unravels. She had nearly turned down an offer from a top overseas laboratory for fake love and false family affection. Fortunately, her mother resolutely seizes a chance for them to start anew. Yet their tormentors refuse to let her go. They maliciously leak her private photos, lock her in a basement and force her to watch her fiancé’s engagement to the scheming Sandra. Her ancestral jade pendant is smashed to pieces in public. Overwhelmed with despair, her mother falls from a building and sustains critical injuries. To save her mother, Chloe humiliates herself by kneeling to beg for forgiveness and kissing the ring of her tormentor. By the time the villains turn on one another and their crimes come to light, she has already fled overseas with her unconscious mother. Three years later, she conquers a groundbreaking medical challenge and revives her mother, reaching the pinnacle of her career. She meets the gentle and devoted Thomas. The three men, ruined by bankruptcy, imprisonment and mental breakdown, drown in endless regret. But Chloe, reborn from the ashes, will never look back.
