Heartbroken, I Married a Washington Tycoon Episode 1

Series details

Sophia has secretly loved her butler John for three years, but her uncle forces her to marry 75-year-old old Charlie. She discovers John's secret relationship with her cousin Ava and gives John seven days to prove himself. Over those seven days, John's blatant favoritism toward Ava breaks Sophia's heart. On the very day John proposes to Ava, Sophia chooses to marry old Charlie. After marrying into the Charlie family, Sophia discovers the truth: old Charlie arranged the marriage not for himself, but to find a suitable partner for his celibate grandson, young Charlie. As their misunderstandings clear, Sophia and young Charlie grow closer. Young Charlie helps her gather evidence and exposes her uncle James's embezzlement of her parents' inheritance in a live national broadcast, ruining him completely. Ava repeatedly tries to harm Sophia, but young Charlie thwarts every attempt. John finally uncovers the blood donation records and realizes that the person who saved him was never Ava—it was Sophia. He rushes to Washington to make amends, but Sophia refuses to look back. With young Charlie's help, she gradually takes control of John's company, reclaims her parents' inheritance, and is reborn from the ashes.
