His Stolen Bride Wore Blood Red Episode 1

Series details

Underground top trauma surgeon Irene spent three years saving thirty-seven lives for the Moretti crime family, stabilizing their power. However, her husband Dominic, drowning in gambling debts, conspired with her cheating younger sister Natalia to sign a contract handing Irene over as collateral to the rival Volkov gang leader. Heartbroken, Irene packed her medical equipment and left. Alexander, the retired godfather of the Volkov family, arranged a private meeting with her in advance. He offered her a fully autonomous medical center, an independent team, and personal freedom—treating her not as a bargaining chip, but with respect for her identity as a healer. Irene chose to stay, and her loyal bodyguard Marco followed her to join Alexander's side. Dominic and Natalia took over the family's medical affairs, but neither had any medical skill. They even botched a simple pacemaker operation on an elderly patient. Time and again, they humbly begged Irene for help, only to be coldly turned down. Meanwhile, old factions within the Moretti family and conservative underworld forces launched bombings and shootings, entangling multiple powers in conflict. Dominic's schemes, Natalia's jealousy, and demands from her ex-husband's family came at her in waves. Alexander stood firmly behind Irene throughout, clearing all threats, exposing Dominic's conspiracy with the traitor, dismantling the dirty human-trafficking pact between the two families, and legally forcing Dominic to sign an uncontested divorce agreement. At her own private clinic, Irene treated the wounded without discrimination—regardless of gang affiliation, even saving the lives of her ex-husband's family who had hurt her, upholding her medical ethics to the end. Over time, she and Alexander healed each other's past traumas and fell deeply in love. Irene broke free from being treated as property, founded a public trauma center, and won an international surgical award for her outstanding skills. Natalia eventually saw the light and apologized; Irene's mother resolved old grievances. Dominic lost all power and ended up destitute. In the end, Irene accepted Alexander's marriage proposal. Together, they ran the clinic, building a stable life of equality, mutual respect, and genuine devotion—finally breaking free from past suffering, achieving self-redemption, and embracing a new beginning.
