I Bought the Apocalypse Before It Came Episode 1

Series details

Silas, a live-in son-in-law, was constantly mocked by outsiders as a kept man leeching off his wife Claire, the company's CEO. One mysterious text message sent from the future warned him that a global extreme cold snap would arrive in seven days. Without hesitation, he sold all his personal assets and maxed out his credit lines to stockpile massive supplies of food, fuel and cold-resistant gear. He also renovated their mansion into a fully insulated survival fortress. His erratic moves drew relentless online ridicule from his archrival Landon, and even Claire initially feared he had lost his mind — yet she still gave him unlimited financial support unconditionally. The catastrophic cold hit exactly as predicted, freezing the entire city and cutting all power supplies. Only Silas's estate remained warm and well-stocked. He rescued his father-in-law Walter, who had been stranded and finally saw Silas's true worth. Meanwhile, he turned away the destitute Landon begging for shelter without a shred of mercy, proving every naysayer dead wrong. Later, another message from the future issued fresh warnings of extreme heat waves, devastating floods and an ancient plague. Silas tapped into foundation funds to purchase an abandoned missile silo, transforming it into a self-sufficient underground bunker capable of housing a thousand people. One disaster after another ravaged the surface world. Greedy relatives and looting bandits showed up at his gates one after another, all firmly turned away by him. Claire safely gave birth to their baby boy, and the whole group finally learned the truth: the prophetic texts had been sent by their son, who would die a tragic death in the future. As an apocalyptic sandstorm bore down once more, Silas stood guard over his family and all survivors sheltered in the bunker with his comprehensive defense systems, ready to face the next deadly natural disaster head-on.
