I Object — He's My Daddy Episode 1

Series details

Nora Hayes is working as a waitress at a billion-dollar wedding when her five-year-old daughter Lily suddenly runs to the altar, raises her hand, and declares, “I object! He’s my daddy!” The groom, Sebastian Crane, is the man Nora desperately fled five years ago. The bride, Vivian Sloane, is the same woman who pushed pregnant Nora down a hospital staircase years ago. Five years earlier, Sebastian was badly injured in a car crash. Three months pregnant, Nora risked her life to pull him from the burning wreckage, only to be threatened and pushed down the stairs by Vivian at the hospital. After surviving and giving birth to Lily, Nora received messages from Sebastian’s phone demanding money for her disappearance, followed by threats against her and her baby. Believing Sebastian had abandoned her, Nora fled with Lily—never knowing those messages had never come from him. At the wedding, Lily’s sudden appearance threatens to expose Vivian’s carefully constructed lies. Sebastian demands a paternity test, but Vivian bribes the Crane family doctor, Hollis, to switch the samples. The false report declares there is no biological match, publicly humiliating Nora, while Vivian announces that she is pregnant. Just when everyone thinks Nora has lost, Lily reveals another secret. Her recording teddy bear captured Vivian and Hollis plotting to tamper with the test. Desperate to silence them, Vivian tries to silence Lily, putting the little girl in grave danger. Sebastian leaps from a height to save his daughter, leaving them both seriously injured. At the hospital, Lily urgently needs blood, and Sebastian discovers they share the rare AB-negative blood type. He donates his blood to save her. A matching crescent-shaped birthmark on Lily and a family birthmark on Sebastian further convince him that something is terribly wrong. A new DNA test finally proves that Lily is Sebastian’s biological daughter with a 99.99% probability. Nora also reveals the truth about five years ago: she never took the two million dollars, and she was the one who risked her life to save Sebastian. Further investigation uncovers Vivian’s elaborate scheme—she forged Sebastian’s signature on the check, stole the money, and spent years manipulating them into believing they had betrayed each other. But Vivian refuses to give up. She frames Nora for theft, while Diana tries to send Lily to Switzerland “for her own good.” Sebastian repeatedly stands by Nora and Lily, uncovering even more of Vivian’s crimes, including a plot to exploit Lily’s peanut allergy. Hospital surveillance footage, a paramedic’s testimony, and Hollis’s confession gradually reveal the full truth. Vivian then makes one final attempt to kill Sebastian. Pretending to be pregnant to gain sympathy, She pressures Hollis to prepare a deadly poison for Sebastian's champagne at their second wedding. At the ceremony, Vivian tries to use one last lie to escape, but Sebastian turns the tables. Under judicial supervision, another DNA test confirms Lily is his daughter, while the hospital footage from five years ago is publicly revealed. Vivian’s entire web of lies finally collapses. In the end, Vivian is sentenced to 22 years for attempted murder, fraud, forged financial documents, and malicious assault. Hollis loses his medical license and faces criminal prosecution, while Richard Sloane cuts ties with his daughter. Nora leaves the wedding with Lily, ready to walk away from the family that once hurt them. But Lily refuses to let her go. Five years ago, Nora risked everything to pull Sebastian from the flames. This time, Sebastian fights through every lie and danger to bring Nora and Lily home. The three hold a simple wedding in the backyard of their new home. When the pastor asks, “If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now,” Lily shoots up her little hand. “No one objects! He’s my daddy, she’s my mommy, and we’re a family forever!”
