Instinctive Surrender Episode 1

Series details

Five years ago, fallen heiress Serena was ruthlessly dumped by her fiancé Lucas for a three-hundred-million-dollar trust. In her despair, Wall Street tyrant Gideon — Lucas's lofty, powerful uncle — handed her a sky-high contract and "bought" her. Five years later, a yacht explosion wiped both their memories, regressing them precisely to that night five years ago when they were at odds over the forced marriage! A massive cognitive dissonance unfolded: Gideon thought Serena still loved his nephew and hated him utterly, so to hide his wildly obsessive crush he put on a cold, arrogant facade as a stern elder; while Serena was convinced she was nothing but a breeding tool bought by a demon. Yet reality mercilessly slapped both their "sanity" in the face — the condom wrapper left in the armored Maybach, the deeply intimate lace lingerie in the walk-in closet, and a four-year-old boy-girl pair who suddenly came charging out of kindergarten to wrap their arms around his legs... They discovered that mouths could lie, but their bodies' instincts had long since fallen completely. When the scumbag nephew, consumed by jealousy, colluded with a psychiatrist to rewrite Serena's memories, the black swan who had been through betrayal refused to spiral. She played along and, in perfect sync with her husband, pulled off a high-IQ counter-kill on the Brooklyn docks. In the end, the truth behind the contract was revealed — beneath the Wall Street tyrant's ruthless reputation lay an ultimate devotion that had cost him half his empire and earned him the stigma of taboo.
